The lines of the poem by the President of Turkmenistan dedicated to the capital were set to the music by his grandson Kerim Berdimuhamedov.
A festivity dedicated to the art of horse breeding took place at the Mukam Palace in the capital of Turkmenistan on March 23. The song «My White City — Ashgabat» with the lyrics by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov which was set to the music by his grandson Kerim premiered at the event. It was reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
The lyrics are based on the poem written by the leader of the country during a visit to the Akhal-Teke equestrian complex on March 22. His creative work was inspired by the birth of the first foal of the horse Akhan, who was trained by the head of the state.
Within the solemn event, literary and musical compositions dedicated to the Akhal-Teke horses were also performed. The concert was attended by pop masters and folk groups.
It should be mentioned that it is not the first creative experience of Berdimuhamedov and his grandson. In April 2019, on the occasion of the Day of the Turkmen Horse, they performed a song dedicated to a foal named Rovach. The lyrics were written by the Turkmen leader, and the music was written by Kerim.
In the summer of 2018, the head of the state and his grandson read a rap song «Sporting Turkmenistan».
