Moscow implements Russian language schools project in Kyrgyzstan

The ministries of the two countries signed a cooperation agreement with the objective of creating joint educational institutions.

On March 15, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov held a meeting with Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov to discuss the development plans of Kyrgyzstan’s education sector, the press office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for its readiness to implement the project of Russian language schools in the Kyrgyz Republic.

In accordance with the bilateral agreement, students from Kyrgyzstan receive grants to study at higher educational institutions in Russia, have professional development opportunities and participate in joint projects.

Kravtsov noted that Russia gave priority to the projects of schools that would offer children ample opportunities for learning and supports teaching the national language, national component and history of the Republic.

The Minister of Education of the Russian Federation said Moscow would send the best teachers and methodologists to Kyrgyzstan with the aim of creating of favourable conditions and improving education quality.
