Kazakhstan to increase daily oil production by 20,000 barrels

These terms were agreed upon by the Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of OPEC+.

During the meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev on March 12, Prime Minister Aksar Mamin reported on the outcomes of the Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of OPEC+ that had approved the oil production levels for Kazakhstan, the press office of Akorda reported.

The Prime Minister informed the President that in accordance with the decision of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of OPEC+, Kazakhstan would be allowed to increase oil production by 20,000 barrels per day. This will also contribute to achieving sustained rapid growth in the mining industry.

The Prime Minister also reported on the social and economic development of Kazakhstan in January-February 2021 and the current epidemic situation in the country.

During the reported period, the positive dynamics of growth was observed in the real sector of the economy. The manufacturing, construction, agro-industrial, information and communications sectors had reached the most active stages of development. The light, chemical and metallurgical industries showed similar progression.
