Maripov expresses dissatisfaction with progress of digitalization of customs services

All components of digital transformation of tax and customs services must be integrated and launched in 2021.

On March 7, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov held a government meeting, during which the progress of digital transformation of tax and customs services was discussed. Noting that the work in the customs system had not been done properly, the Prime Minister said the special emphasis would be placed on that aspect, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The Prime Minister instructed to integrate and launch all components of digital transformation of tax and customs services and analytics systems in 2021.

Maripov noted that despite some achievements in digital transformation of tax and customs procedures, the weaknesses and shortcomings existed.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers highlighted the need to speed up digital transformation of these services with the aim of mitigating corruption risks and increasing national budget revenues.

the emphasis was placed on the need to resume the work of the Coordination Council for digital transformation of tax and customs services on a regular basis.
