Kyrgyzstan to raise judges’ salaries

The President of Kyrgyzstan said the requirements for the servants of Themis would henceforth be heightened and urged judges to do their work with honesty.

On March 5, the leader of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov congratulated judicial officers of the country on their professional holiday and urged them to do their work with honesty. Japarov promised that none of high-ranking officials would give judges any instructions and noted that the requirements for the servants of Themis would henceforth be heightened, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The President highlighted the need to ensure transparency in the selection process of judges, emphasising that judicial candidates must possess excellent competences and thorough knowledge of criminal and civil procedures, jurisdictional rules and the court system.

The leader of Kyrgyzstan said the measures would be taken to modernize material and technical recourses of the judicial system, raise judges’ salaries and provide judicial officers with social guarantees.

Digital technologies will be widely used in the judicial system, and other positive changes will be implemented.

Over 400 judges from all institutions all over the country attended the event.
