Japarov meets with Russian and Tatarstan presidents

The Kyrgyz leader thanked Russia for its support in resolving political problems.

President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov arrived in Moscow at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24. During the trip, Japarov met with both Putin and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. They noted close friendly relationships between the peoples of the countries, as reported by the press office of the head of Kyrgyzstan.

Japarov thanked the Russian leader for the assistance provided in resolving the political crisis, as well as for the help in combating the spread of COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan.

In turn, Putin commended the preservation of the state status of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan, adding that it is extremely important in bilateral relations.

Also, Japarov met with the head of Tatarstan. The parties exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations between the republics.

Minnikhanov expressed his readiness to exchange experience in various spheres, adding that it is necessary to focus on creative processes, development of the economy, and relations between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan.
