Thirty large industrial and social facilities will be opened on the territory of Turkmenistan in 2021. The process will be realized for the 30th anniversary of the independence of the country. Five objects have been put into operation in January, as reported by the correspondent of CentralAsia.news.
At the beginning of this year, a gas compressor station was commissioned at the Malay field in the Lebap province. In addition, the Akina-Andkhoy railway, the Imamnazar-Akina, and Serhetabat-Turgundi fiber-optic lines, and the Kerki-Shibergan power line were opened with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
In April, a new government tribune, an international congress center, the Turkmenbashi and Senagat banks, as well as the large Arkadag hotel, which are built by the French company Bouygues Batiment International will open in the capital.
Several large facilities will be commissioned in the summer. So, in June this year, a 60-meter monument to the poet Magtymguly Fragi will be opened in Ashgabat. It will be 14 meters higher than the Statue of Liberty without a pedestal and foundation.
Concert arenas for 3,000 seats will be opened in Dashoguz, Turkmenabat, and Balkanabat. The corresponding buildings will have a shape of a yurt. The Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway will also be launched in the summer.
In Ahal province, two large textile complexes will be put into operation, and a 432 MW power plant will be commissioned in Lebap province this year.
The architectural premieres of 2021 also include new cottage complexes in the Avaza tourist zone, residential areas in the capital, and the administrative center of the Dashoguz province. Local construction companies also plan to complete the first stage of the administrative center of the Ahal province and open several medical institutions in Turkmenbashi and Dashoguz.
It must be added that on February 12, at an expanded government meeting, Berdimuhamedov, said that more than 38 billion dollars had been invested in the construction industry of the country.
