S. A. Niyazov etrap hyakimlik in Dashoguz velayat will receive the US$1 million prize.
On February 12, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Oder authorising to award a money prize to the best etrap of 2020 at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Ashgabat, the Turkmenistan Today News Agency reports.
The winner of the competition is S. A. Niyazov etrap in Dashoguz velayat. In accordance with the Order of the President of Turkmenistan, S. A. Niyazov etrap hyakimlik will receive the US$1 million prize.
The best region of Turkmenistan was chosen in accordance with several criteria, namely social, economic and cultural performance indicators. A special commission at the trade unions tallied the results. The funds will be allocated from the Golden Age State Fund for Development.
The competition for the best etrap has been held since 2013. When tallying the results, the commission pays special attention to the achievements in implementing the National Programme of the President of Turkmenistan aimed improving social and living conditions of citizens of Turkmenistan.
The winner of the 2019 competition is Geokdepe etrap in Ahal velayat.
