Badge of honour for diplomats unveiled in Turkmenistan

It will be awarded to employees of diplomatic missions for their contribution to the implementation of the peaceful and constructive foreign policy.

On February 9, a meeting on foreign policy implementation chaired by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in Ashgabat. During the meeting, a badge of honour for employees of diplomatic missions was approved, the Turkmenistan Today News Agency reported.

The draft Resolution on the establishment of the badge of honour Turkmenistanyn ussat diplomaty was presented for review to the leader of Turkmenistan. It will be awarded to employees of diplomatic representative offices and missions for their contribution to the implementation of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan and enhancement of relationships with other countries and international organisations.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution and congratulated Turkmen diplomats on this important event.

Thanking the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov said this decision was of crucial importance for Turkmen diplomats.

The Minister promised that diplomatic missions would continue to implement the foreign policy of independent and neutral Turkmenistan and make every effort to increase its prestige in the international arena.
