Kyrgyzstan to provide housing for 7,500 families within 5 years

A draft concept of the government program «My Home 2021-2026» was presented at the government meeting.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov participated in a government meeting on February 10. During the event, a draft concept of the government program «My Home 2021-2026», developed by the Ministry of Economy and OJSC «Gosipotechnaya Kompaniya» was presented, as reported by the press office of the Kyrgyz government.

The project provides for the provision of housing for 7.5 thousand families from 2021 to 2026. At the same time, the government will finance the purchase and construction of housing with a total area of at least 150 thousand square meters. For this purpose investments for 5 billion soms will be attracted, and mortgage-backed securities for 1 billion soms will be issued.

Following the meeting, the project «My Home 2021-2026» was approved. The government will approve it shortly.

It must be noted that the program of the new government called «Real goals, new perspectives» was published earlier. The government plans to introduce an hourly wage system, as well as train citizens in entrepreneurship for free, among other things.
