New government of Kyrgyzstan discusses measures for economic recovery

President directed to ensure the open and effective use of funds to combat coronavirus.

On February 8, President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Prime Minister of the country Ulukbek Maripov. They discussed important issues related to taking urgent measures to recover the economy of the state, as well as effective steps to combat the coronavirus epidemic, as reported by the press office of the Kyrgyz president.

Japarov noted that now the domestic economy is in an extremely difficult situation. In this regard he underlined the need to urgently adopt a comprehensive anti-crisis plan of the government to support the economy.

Also, the head of the state stressed that it is necessary to ensure freedom for entrepreneurs, take personal control over the support and protection of the private sector and investors. The leader of the republic drew attention to the need for increasing their confidence in government bodies, creating a favorable investment climate in the country.

At the same time, the president directed to ensure an open and transparent use of resources within combating the coronavirus epidemic.

Maripov, in turn, said that a number of government decisions on supporting the business sector, investors, and entrepreneurship in the country are developed.
