Kyrgyz Foreign Minister and EU Ambassador discuss plans for 2021

It was noted that in order to prevent a political crisis, Kyrgyzstan is ready to strictly observe democratic principles.

On January 22, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbayev held a meeting with the Ambassador, Head of the European Union Delegation Eduard Auer. They discussed the upcoming events which will be held within bilateral cooperation, as reported by the press office of the Kyrgyz MFA.

Kazakbayev noted that the republic is interested in further strengthening and developing cooperation with the European Union in all areas of cooperation.

The minister stressed that acceleration of the process of signing and ratifying an agreement on expansion of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union will play a special role in the relevant direction.

Kyrgyz official marked that the republic will strictly adhere to democratic principles to prevent a political crisis in the country.

Auer, in turn, commended the process of holding the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan, which took place on January 10 this year. He stressed that the political event was an important step towards the political stability in the country.
