Turkmenistan and India enhance partnerships in education

Ambassador of India Vidhu Peethambaran Nair and Rectors of the higher educational institutions in Ashgabat discussed this issue during online meetings.

Ambassador of India to Turkmenistan Vidhu Peethambaran Nair held a number of online meetings with Rectors of the higher educational institutions in Ashgabat. The ways of promoting inter-university cooperation were discussed, the press office of the Embassy of India to Turkmenistan wrote on its Facebook page on January 21.

On January 19, the diplomat had a meeting with Rector of the State Medical University   Nargozel Myratnazarova. The parties deliberated on cooperation in the field of Ayurveda and telemedicine.

On January 21, the Ambassador held an online meeting with Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development Esen Aydogdyev. They discussed the prospects for inter-university cooperation, the exchange of scientists and the training of Turkmen students under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.

On the same day, Ambassador Vidhu Peethambaran Nair held a virtual meeting with Rector of Magtymguly Turkmen State University Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva. The meeting focused on the aspects of the ITEC Programme and opportunities for Turkmen students to receive Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarships.
