Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspects the progress of construction work in Ashgabat

The President of Turkmenistan visited the construction sites of the French company Bouygues Batiment International.

On January 18, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the progress of construction work being carried out in Ashgabat by the French company Bouygues Batiment International. The leader of Turkmenistan visited the construction sites of the Congress Centre, the Arkadag Hotel and the Government Tribune, Turkmenistan Today News Agency reports.

The new facilities stand along Chandybil Avenue in the south of Ashgabat. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the construction site of the Congress Centre that would host international forums. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shamuhammet Durdylyev said that the opening of the Congress Centre would be a splendid gift for the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

The President visited the construction site of the fashionable Arkadag Hotel. Emphasising that construction work on the world class hotel should be completed as scheduled, the Turkmen leader noted that the hotel should have the national style interior design and decoration. The environmental aspect should be a focus of attention.  In this regard, the Turkmen leader underlined the need to create green zones around the hotel.

The President visited the construction site of the 2,000-seat Government Tribune. It is intended to host military parades, large-scale festive performances, in particular in honour of the Independence Day, and events involving Ahalteke horses.

The three facilities are to be put into operation this spring.
