Kyrgyz minister of health visits syringe plant in Osh region

The head of the enterprise said that he plans to start the production of medical gloves.

On January 18, Minister of Health of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev visited a private enterprise for the production of syringes in the Kara-Suu district as part of a working trip to the Osh region, as reported by the press office of the government agency.

The head of the plant, Kanatbek Kadyrov, told the minister that he plans to produce medical gloves in the nearest future. Now the company mainly produces 5 and 10-gram syringes, including special syringes for injecting insulin.

As part of the interview to one of the local radio channels, the minister said that the issue of receiving a Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection was considered. According to him, the Ministry of Health on behalf of the leadership of Kyrgyzstan sent a letter to the head of Russia, Vladimir Putin, requesting 500 thousand doses of the vaccine.

Earlier it was reported that on January 11, the republic received documents for the American vaccine Pfizer. However, Kyrgyzstan can't buy the medication due to financial difficulties.
