Kyrgyz CEC launches call center for consultation on election issues

The call center of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda is available at number 1255.

On January 4, the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Kyrgyzstan informed citizens about launching a call center, where they answer questions related to the early presidential election in the republic. The center is available at the phone number 1255, as reported by the press office of the CEC of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the information provided, Kyrgyz citizens who call the relevant number can get answers to questions about the presidential election and referendum that will be held on January 10.

The questions will be answered by specialists from the Central Election Commission, as well as individuals with disabilities and young people.

It must be added the call center was opened to raise awareness of the local population about the electoral process and the voting rules.

On October 24, 2020, the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Kyrgyzstan appointed an early presidential election for January 10, 2021. The political event will be held ahead of schedule, due to the resignation of the previous president Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
