President of Kazakhstan summarises the work of Parliament in 2020

Particular amendments and additions to national laws aimed to implement the provisions of the President’s Message to the people of Kazakhstan.

On December 29, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Chairman of the Senate of Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev, who reported to the leader of Kazakhstan on the work done by the upper house of the legislature in 2020, the press office of Akorda reports.

This year, the law ‘generator’ of the Republic has developed and adopted a number of laws. Parliamentarians adopted the Environmental Code, the Law on Technical Regulation and a number of legislative acts on amendments and additions to existing laws.

The representative of the legislature said that particular amendments and additions to the legal documents aimed to implement the provisions of the President’s Message to the people of Kazakhstan. Ashimbayev said that all these documents had a direct complementary effect on the social and economic development of the state and an improvement in the standards of living of the people of Kazakhstan.

Commenting on the report, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev said that parliamentarians should further build the regulatory framework, which would contribute to achieving the goals of the national social and economic development programmes.
