Prime Minister of Kazakhstan urges to respect labour rights of citizens

Askar Mamin instructed the executive bodies to develop a unified algorithm of actions to detect arrears and delays in wage payments.

On December 29, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a conference call with the representatives of the executive body. The meeting agenda focused on the issues concerning labour rights of adult citizens, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Minister of Labour and the high-ranking officials of the large regions reported to the Prime Minister that the existing optimized mechanism of labour relations contributed to maintaining a balance between employers and employees. Moreover, the tripartite commissions conducted monitoring at all stages.

The officials noted that today over 130,000 joint activities agreements between regional offices, trade unions and regional actors were in place. This allows providing steady employment of 2.3 million citizens. Moreover, the measures are being taken to introduce an anti-crisis “roadmap to employment”, which has generated steady jobs for 730,000 citizens of Kazakhstan.

Commenting on the reports, the Prime Minister reminded the cabinet ministers about full compliance with national laws at all stages of labour relations. Askar Mamin tasked the executive bodies to develop a unified algorithm of actions to detect arrears and delays in wage payments on the information technology platform.

In this context, Mamin underscored the urgent need to expedite the transformation of workflows in the field of labour relations into an electronic format. This would allow instituting more discipline in the execution of labour contracts in an effective and efficient manner, the Prime Minister emphasised.
