Uzbekistan exported persimmons to Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Russia

Uzbekistan also started to supply persimmons to Poland, Germany, and Lithuania.

Within the first 9 months of 2020, Uzbekistan exported 13.4 thousand tons of persimmons amounting to 1.733 million dollars. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan on October 22.

The relevant export volume is 4.6 tons more than within the same period in 2019. Foreign exchange earnings from the export of these fruits increased by 28 percent.

According to the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, 50 percent of the persimmons were exported to Kyrgyzstan, and 39% to Russia. Also, this year the export of persimmons to Turkmenistan increased by 3.2 times, Ukraine — 1.2 times.

For the first time this year, persimmons grown in Uzbekistan have been exported to Poland, Lithuania, and Germany.

It must be mentioned that today the country delivers persimmons to the markets of 10 countries, including Belarus and the United Arab Emirates.

Moreover, since the beginning of this year, Uzbekistan has exported confectionery products worth 4.1 million dollars. Uzbek sweets were purchased by 9 countries in the world. These are the states of Central Asia, Russia, Mongolia, China, Armenia, and Afghanistan.
