Tajikistan resumes flights to China and Turkey

Dushanbe-Urumqi flights will open in mid-October, flights to and from Istanbul will be recovered on October 8.

On October 6, the head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan, Ikrom Subkhonzoda announced that flights from Dushanbe to Urumqi (China) will resume in mid-October. Somon Air announced that Dushanbe-Istanbul-Dushanbe flights will be recovered on October 8, as reported by Khovar.

Subkhonzoda noted that flights to China will be operated once every 2 weeks. The flights will be realized by Somon Air and China Southern Airlines. Further flight frequency will depend on the number of passengers. To get on the plane, citizens will have to provide a COVID-19 negative certificate, received no earlier than 3 days before the registration. Tickets are already available for purchase at the box office and online.

Somon Air representatives noted that flights to and from Turkey will be operated once a week, on Thursdays. They noted that the cheapest ticket costs about 355 dollars (3672 somoni). Before the registration, passengers will need to show a COVID-19 negative certificate, made no earlier than 96 hours before arrival. The flights will be realized by Somon Air and Turkish Airlines.

At the moment, the Cabinet of Ministers of Tajikistan considers the possibility of resuming flights to and from Uzbekistan.

It must be added that Dushanbe-Dubai flights have already resumed. Moreover, the government organizes charter flights from a various cities of the Russian Federation to Dushanbe to bring back citizens who are stuck abroad.
