Trump appreciates help of Tajikistan in fight against terrorism

The US President wrote it in a congratulatory telegram on the occasion of the Independence Day of the republic.

US President Donald Trump sent a congratulatory telegram to the head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the occasion of the Independence Day of the republic. The leader of the United States hopes that the countries will strengthen partnerships in the fight against terrorism. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the Tajik president on September 8.

— I sincerely congratulate the entire Tajik nation on the 29th anniversary of national independence. I am sure that we will continue to work together for the good of democratic development of Tajikistan, — wrote Trump.

The US President also expressed the hope that the countries will continue to cooperate in the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan. He marked that it is necessary to ensure security and peace in the IRA. Trump also said that the United States will continue to support Tajikistan in the fight against the COVID-19 and rebuilding the economy hit by the pandemic.

It must be added that Independence Day in Tajikistan will be celebrated without concerts and mass festivities. The decision was made by the government to prevent an increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases.

To date, 8,860 patients with the corresponding infection were registered in the republic. In total, 70 people died from the disease.
