Kazakhstan starts to gradually ease quarantine restrictions

Quarantine measures were taken repeatedly due to the spread of coronavirus in the country since July 5.

Since August 17, Kazakhstan partially canceled isolation restrictions for its citizens due to the coronavirus epidemic. The gradual ease of the quarantine regime will be realized under the decree of chief sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan Aizhan Esmagambetova. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press-office of the national Ministry of Health.

According to the instructions, the work of social facilities was resumed selectively. Since Monday, shopping centers, covered markets, hair salons, spa centers, fitness rooms and kindergartens have been opened.

The decree allows holding open space individual and group activities involving not more than 5 people at a ground. The government will allow national and club sports teams to have more people during their training with up to 30 members. The main requirement is following strict sanitary regulations.

At the same time, public transport flights will resume in the cities of the republic. The passengers won’t be allowed to stand, the number of passengers must be equal to the number of sits. At the beginning of each route, the vehicle has to be disinfected.

The ministry marked that mass family and sports events are still prohibited. Cinemas, museums, pubs and gambling establishments will remain closed.
