President of Kazakhstan announced this decision in a congratulation letter to Putin.
On August 12, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulation letter to Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Tokayev congratulated his colleague on the registration of the world’s first vaccine against COVID-19 and also said that the Kazakh government is interested in purchasing a consignment of the medicine. Tokayev highlighted that such an achievement undoubtedly demonstrates the high status, unconditional authority and sustainable development of the scientific potential of the Russian Federation. It also proves that Russia, as a participant of the general battle against the global threat, is in the forefront.
