President of Turkmenistan celebrates his 63rd birthday

The Turkmen leader has many achievements that were commended both at the regional and international levels.

Today on June 29, 2020 president of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov celebrates his 63rd birthday. The Turkmen leader has implemented many important projects aimed at developing the country and creating a comfortable life for its citizens, “Turkmenistan today” reports. 

Berdimuhamedov was born in 1957 in the Babarap village, Gokdepe etrap, Akhal province. He became president on February 14, 2007. The head of the state has degrees in medical and economic sciences; he is also an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and a general of the army. In 2011, Berdimuhamedov was awarded the title Hero of Turkmenistan. Moreover, he has many other national and foreign awards.

The president regularly meets with local farmers, students and asks them about the quality of their lives. One of the main tasks of Berdimuhamedov’s policy is to turn Turkmenistan into an industrialized state, expand industrial production in the country, and implement a total digitalization of the socio-economic sphere. 

Berdimuhamedov pays special attention to the development of the healthcare system, particularly now. The president also aspires to expand the potential of government participation in international structures. It includes several initiatives of the head of the state within the framework of the UN, which were implemented in resolutions on transport, energy, and ecology.

Upon Berdimuhamedov’s proposal, World Cycle Day was established, and 2021 was declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Peace and Confidence.

It must be added that 63 years is the sacred date and the prophet’s age in the Islamic world.
