Turkmen authorities will expand the spectrum of cashless payments in the country. The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs will introduce a new type of credit card - Milli VISA karty. The statement was made by Vice Prime Minister Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov at a cabinet meeting on June 26, as reported by “Turkmenistan Today”.
The Minister underlined that the introduction of a new credit card will allow integrating the national payment system into the international network. It will provide wide opportunities for cardholders and have a positive impact on the development of the banking sector.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that this process will expand the potential of the domestic economy in the global economic area. He added that the number of banking products will grow further. The head of the state addressed Mushshikov several instructions in this direction.
The deputy prime minister also reported to Berdimuhamedov on the modernization of the national economy. The official marked that banking institutions improve the quality of services with the use of modern technologies.
It must be added that on November 1, 2019 the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan started issuing international cards VISA Classic Syýahat and MasterCard Standard Syýahat.
