Berdimuhamedov tells grandson about horse breeding in Turkmenistan

The president noted that the Akhal-Teke horses are well-known all around the world.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his grandson Kerimguly visited the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex in Ashgabat on May 17. During a horse ride, the Turkmen leader told the young man about the horse breeding. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by "Turkmenistan today".

Traditionally, Berdimuhamedov first made a bike ride on Sunday morning. Then, together with his grandson, the head of the state visited the Akhal-Teke horses.

The president told Kerimguly about all the subtleties of horse breeding in Turkmenistan. He noted that at the moment national horse breeders actively popularize “paradise” runners all over the world. 

The leader of the country added that modern equestrian complexes were built in all regions. Berdimuhamedov also underlined that special attention is paid to the training of highly qualified specialists in this field. Moreover, the president highlighted systematic work on increasing the number of horses carried out in Turkmenistan. 

The head of the state focused on the achievements of the Turkmen riders, in particular the “Galkynysh” team, which was highly praised by the international community.

It must be added that Kerimguly took the 1st place in the first competition among teenage jockeys. Berdimuhamedov became the winner of the holiday race in April 2017.
