Starting on March 24 all shipments that enter the country through Garabogaz and Pharap will be transported by local carriers.
All goods, including transit baggage, entering Turkmenistan will be transported by local carriers. The regulation on the restriction of the cargo movement entered into force on March 24. It was reported by "Business Turkmenistan".
These restrictions mainly relate to foreign freights entering the country through Garabogaz, Farap customs posts, as well as through the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
Within the framework of changes foreign shipments arriving at the relevant customs points will be transferred to the Turkmen carriers without opening the packaging. The goods will be placed on trucks in specific areas. Citizens of other countries who arrived at the seaport in their trucks will have to leave the vehicle in specially designated car parks. The return of foreign vans and drivers will be realized by seaways at the expense of the corresponding foreign companies.
Cargo transiting through Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will also be surrendered to the representatives of the Turkmen logistics organizations. The relevant consignment will be transported to the border of these states.
