Private sector share of GDP in Turkmenistan has reached 70%

Expert Yuri Aronsky considers that the success was achieved due to efforts of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

Private sector share of the gross domestic product of the country (excluding the fuel and energy industry) is 70%. The result was achieved due to the effective work of the coordinating body of a private business - the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. It was reported to SNG.FM by expert Yuri Aronsky.

The Chairman of the Union of Economists of Turkmenistan marked that the private business share did not exceed 40% until the UIET was created. As the candidate of economic sciences pointed out, in recent years, the organization has had a significant impact on the development of various sectors of the economy. It ensured food independence and an increase in export.

The expert underlined that the development of the national economy depends on the cooperation of state regulation methods and market mechanisms, the so-called public - private cooperation. Such partnership is the key to the development of entrepreneurship, as well as its involvement in large - scale investment projects and state programs.

According to the economist, Turkmen entrepreneurs work on the introduction of new technologies, digital transformation and the development of electronic control systems for the economy of Turkmenistan. Electronic production is developed, new modern directions are created and existing ones are modernized. And that once again demonstrates the leading and coordinating role of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, emphasized the expert.

It should be added that on March 17 the UIET celebrated 12th anniversary. A field exhibition of members of the organization and a conference were held in honor of this significant date.
