Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discuss cross-border cooperation

The heads of government held a trilateral meeting in Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan, at the junction with Fergana Region of Uzbekistan and Sughd Region of Tajikistan. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Abdulla Aripov and Kokhir Rasulzoda discussed key aspects of regional cooperation, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

This meeting is a continuation of the cross-border cooperation agreements of the leaders of the three countries.

The participants noted the progress in the border delimitation process: Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have completed the process; work is underway to delineate the remaining sections of the Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border under the agreement of December 4, 2024.

The heads of government expressed belief that the meeting will shape the future development of the region for decades to come. They discussed the prospects for trade, economic, logistics, energy and cultural cooperation, as well as the promotion of cross-border relations.
