RF Ambassador to Tajikistan Semyon Grigoriev announced that President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was invited to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Moscow. Vladimir Putin personally invited him to take part in the ceremonial events that will take place on Red Square on May 9, 2025, TASS reports.
This visit is of particular significance, as Tajikistan will chair the CIS in 2025. According to the RF Ambassador, the anniversary of the Victory will be one of the key topics on the agenda of the interstate dialogue.
Aide to the RF President Yury Ushakov emphasised that the current discussions on migration issues do not affect relations between the leaders of the two countries.
«The leaders have friendly, warm relations. They know each other, communicate and want to communicate,» he noted.
This is illustrated by the participation of Emomali Rahmon in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow last year.
