Russia-Kyrgyzstan trade increases by 27%

Speaking at a meeting with journalists, RF Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sergey Vakunov said trade between the two countries has steadily been on the rise — about 27% in the first 7 months of the year compared to the same period in 2024, the press office of the RF Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.

An important indicator of stable economic relations is the fact that over 90 percent of trade transactions between the countries are made in rubbles.

The diplomat emphasised that all transactions fully comply with international law.

The Ambassador added that though some Kyrgyz banks have suspended operations with the Russian sanctioned banks, financial interaction continues through banks that remain unsanctioned.
