President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held talks with Prime Minister Viktor Orban during his state visit to Hungary. According to the press office of the President of Kazakhstan, the meeting demonstrated high mutual trust between the countries.
The key areas of cooperation, including the energy, transport, logistics, agricultural, oil and gas and nuclear industries, as well as the financial sector, were discussed. Particular attention was paid to developing and facilitating the implementation of joint projects.
«The main aim of my visit is to give a new impetus to multifaceted cooperation between our countries,» Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasised.
He noted that Hungary is a reliable strategic partner of Kazakhstan in the EU and a friendly state. The importance of strengthening relations and interaction within international organisations was emphasised. The President of Kazakhstan noted Viktor Orban’s contribution to the development of the Organization of Turkic States.
Following the talks, a Joint Statement, stating the intention to deepen strategic partnerships, was signed. Several documents were concluded, including the memoranda on cooperation in consular, investment and banking matters and the agreements on joint agricultural and logistics projects.
