Pakistan’s largest transport and logistics company National Logistics Corporation (NLC) that operates in Africa, the Middle East, South and Central Asia, China and the CIS Member States intends to expand its presence in Uzbekistan and increase bilateral trade to $1 billion, the Dunyo News Agency reports.
Agreements on the joint exploration of new markets were reached during a meeting in Rawalpindi between the company’s top managers and Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtayev.
It is planned to expand road transport and logistics operations across the territory of Uzbekistan to the Central Asian countries and neighbouring regions.
NLC Major General Farrukh Shahzad Rao expressed support for the initiative of regional cooperation put forward by the President of Uzbekistan and stressed the importance of bilateral partnerships for strengthening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the countries. Particular attention will be paid to building up transport and transit potential and expanding the geography of freight transportation.
