Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakh Invest NC JSC Madiyar Sultanbek met with General Manager of Mitsubishi Corporation Office in Kazakhstan Tetsuya Sugita in Astana. According to the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, particular attention was paid to strengthening investment partnerships and the prospects for introducing Japanese technologies into Kazakhstan’s manufacturing sector.
«The new investment policy of Kazakhstan is aimed at boosting export-oriented high-value-added manufacturing,» the press office quotes Alibek Kuantyrov as saying.
The representatives of Mitsubishi Corporation presented the company’s sustainable development strategy for 2024 aimed at reducing the carbon footprint and promoting hydrogen and renewable technologies. The company’s proposals include hydrogen production and infrastructure projects and green energy solutions.
The parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including digital transformation, clean energy and high-tech manufacturing, and agreed to expand cooperation in sustainable development and infrastructure modernisation.
