First Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Mamanbiy Omarov and the Lithuanian delegation headed by Consul General in Almaty Gvidas Kerusauskas met in Tashkent. They discussed cooperation in transport and logistics, including the launch of direct flights between the countries, the press office of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reported.
The parties considered the prospects for promoting trade cooperation by optimising logistics chains and extending transport links.
Considerable attention was paid to launching direct flights between the countries. This project is to simplify the travel procedures for tourist trips and business visits, which will help strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two states.
The parties discussed exchanging information on the status of transport routes and optimising the customs clearance process.
