President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev took part in the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Bishkek, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
In his speech, he expressed gratitude to President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and the Kyrgyz people for their hospitality, noting that the meeting coincided with the 15th anniversary of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
Tokayev reported on the results of Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship in the OTS, highlighting the key achievements in 2024: the unity of the Turkic world was strengthened, over 80 events were hosted, the projects were implemented and the 5th World Nomad Games in Astana were staged. The significant achievements included the approval of the common Turkic alphabet and the appointment of permanent representatives to the OTS.
«We need to effectively use human resources to modernise the Turkic civilization. We need to create ample opportunities for unleashing the potential of talented youth,» Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev noted the importance of cooperation in the education sector.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed hope for the active role of the Turkic Investment Fund and the establishment of the Council of Central Banks. He paid particular attention to human capital development and investment cooperation.
