Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilenko held a series of meetings with the representatives of the Government and Parliament of Slovakia in Bratislava to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.
The parties focused on expanding political, trade, economic and cultural cooperation, including the preparations for the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Forum scheduled to take place in Astana in October 2024.
“The Kazakhstani diplomat expressed gratitude to his Slovak counterparts for supporting the initiative to simplify the EU visa regime for citizens of the Republic,” the press service reports.
They discussed key aspects of cooperation within international organisations.
In 2023, bilateral trade amounted to $138.9 million, and the gross inflow of investment from Slovakia to Kazakhstan has reached $21.1 million since 2005.
