The delegation of the Department for Competition Policy and Public Procurement Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the experts from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan discussed the prospects of cooperation in public procurement within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the press office of the Eurasian Economic Commission reported.
Director of the Department Zhanar Adikova presented the basic principles of public and municipal procurement under the EAEU regulations to her Uzbek counterparts and highlighted the role of the Eurasian Economic Commission in regulating public procurement in the EAEU Member States. Key aspects of legislation and practice in this area were discussed.
The Uzbek side is set to continue and deepen the dialogue in the near future. Deputy Director of the Department Armine Hakobyan invited the Uzbek counterparts to participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum, which will be held in Yerevan from September 30 to October 1.
