On August 30, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the Terek-Tash cement plant in Kemin district. In his speech, the President expressed belief that the ambitious plans to increase the state budget to 650 billion soms by late 2024 will be implemented, Tazabek reported.
Together with other building materials enterprises, the new cement plant will lay a strong foundation for providing the people with durable and affordable housing, the President emphasised. Japarov said growth in Kyrgyzstan’s construction sector will attract investors, which will have a positive impact on economic development.
Noting that Kyrgyzstan’s economy has made significant progress in recent years, Sadyr Japarov said Kyrgyzstan is on the threshold of a new era of industrial independence that opens up ample opportunities for the future growth and prosperity of the country.
The President attended online the opening ceremonies of 40 industrial and 60 social facilities on that day. The ceremonies marked the centenary of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region.
