Kyrgyz tyre recycling plant to complete test mode in late 2024

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov visited the tyre recycling plant in Tokmok town in Chui Region. The industrial facility will reach full capacity in late 2024 after completing the test mode, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The plant is a branch of Kumter Gold Company LLC. It began operating in the test mode last year. It has recycled 900,000 kilogrammes of tyres for 8 months.

The primary project objective is to recycle waste tyres and minimize the environmental impact by promoting cleaner production and using modern German technology.

After reaching peak production capacity, the plant will recycle up to 2 tonnes of waste tyres per hour, which will enable the company to reduce tyre replacement costs by 30-40%. Its products will be sold within Kyrgyzstan and exported to other countries.
