President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed the Decree On the Founding Fathers of Modern Kyrgyz Statehood to recognise the significant role and contributions of Abdykerim Sydykov, Ishenaly Arabayev, Zhusup Abdrakhmanov, Abdykadyr Orozbekov and Imanaly Aidarbekov to the history of the country, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Japarov conferred on them the title of Founding Fathers to recognise their roles in the formation of modern Kyrgyzstan. He emphasised that this title does not diminish the contributions of other leaders to the development of the country.
The President instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare the materials on the activities of the Founding Fathers to foster patriotism among schoolchildren and students from all educational institutions, including private ones. It is planned to hold science and practical conferences on this topic and awareness raising activities and adopt regulatory documents.
