Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova held meetings with the representatives of several foreign medical supply manufacturers. According to the press office of the Ministry, the Minister said one the priority tasks of the domestic healthcare sector is to provide the country with effective, safe and high-quality medicines.
The meetings with Pfizer, Roche and AstraZeneca focused on the possibility of localizing pharmaceutical production in Kazakhstan. The representatives of Johnson & Johnson have expressed their intention to localize innovative pharmaceutical products in Kazakhstan.
J&J Managing Director for Emerging Markets Asgar Rangoonwala expressed belief that this decision will benefit the people of Kazakhstan.
«The Minister held a meeting with the representatives of Weigao — the Chinese company that manufactures over 1,000 varieties of medical equipment and products,» the press office of the Ministry added.
