Japan donates 4 mobile medical containers to Uzbekistan

The Government of Japan decided to donate 4 mobile containers with medical equipment worth about $6.2 million to Uzbekistan under the Economic and Social Development Programme, the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan reported.

On July 2, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and Ambassador of Japan Takashi Hattori exchanged notes under the Programme.

The containers contain advanced medical equipment, including ultrasound, X-ray and CT scanners.

This equipment will be delivered to doctors in remote areas of Uzbekistan. Thus, the Republic will expand access to health services. Such measures are expected to strengthen the national health system.
