Kazakhstan has resumed oil production in almost full after severe flooding, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baybazarov said, the press office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported.
We are on oil production schedule; the plan is 99,9% fulfilled. The minimal drop in oil production was recorded on the fields in Atyrau Region,» Baybazarov said.
He emphasised that Kazakhstan’s economy keeps growing after flooding, noting that the growth rate in some industries exceeds last year’s indicators. However, the Minister of National Economy noted that the growth rate in several industries has slowed down, in particular in the trade sector, which suffered the most from the floods, and the transport and communications sectors.
As was reported, 634 oil wells in Aktobe and Atyrau Regions were suspended in April because of severe floods.
