Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov said at the MINEX Central Asia Mining and Geological Forum that no “show” on water resources will be staged in Central Asia. He noted that peaceful cooperation for the benefit of all the peoples is vital for the region, Sputnik reports.
Zhaparov mentioned the successful signing of the document on the construction of Kambar-Ata HPP-1 with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as an example of a concerted effort by the Central Asian countries to achieve common goals and solve global problems.
The Prime Minister clarified that Bishkek is committed to mutually beneficial cooperation.
“There was the time in our history when poverty was ‘fairly distributed’ in one direction and wealth in the other. We want to fairly distribute wealth among partners and promote mutually beneficial relationships in the interests of our peoples,” Zhaparov emphasised.
He also noted that every investor in Kyrgyzstan can take advantage of all the opportunities. Zhaparov expressed belief that the time has come for a new stage of relations aimed at constructive cooperation and successful development.
