In Ashgabat, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the chairwoman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with the ambassador of Egypt to Turkmenistan Nazih Ali Bahaeldin Al-Naggari. The diplomat presented his credentials to the head of parliament. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the MFA of Turkmenistan.
On behalf of Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Gulmanova wished the ambassador success in his work aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the states. Nazih Ali Bahaeldin Al-Naggari, in turn, on behalf of the Egyptian leader, wished well-being to the president of Turkmenistan and the citizens of the country.
The parties considered all areas of cooperation of mutual interest. Attention was paid to the issues of building up relations in the parliamentary sphere, in particular within the exchange of experience between the legislative bodies of the countries.
The chairwoman of the Mejlis also informed the head of the diplomatic mission of Egypt about the domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, the reforms initiated by the head of state, and major international projects of the country.
