Chairman of the Committee of Tourism Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of Tajikistan Kamoliddin Muminzoda and Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili held talks in Bulgaria. They considered engaging UNWTO consultants to implement the Tourism Development Project, the press office of the Committee of Tourism Development reported to CentralAsia.news.
The Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization will take part in the Tajikistan-2024 tourism forum, which is scheduled to take place in March next year. Pololikashvili will inform about the dates of his participation in the forum during the session of the UNWTO General Assembly, which will be held in Uzbekistan in October this year.
The Chairman of the Committee of Tourism Development of Tajikistan and the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization met on the sidelines of the 68th Meeting of the UNWTO Commission.
Tajikistan became a full member of the UNWTO in 2007. This event gave Tajikistan’s tourism sector access to the world market.
