Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the «smart» city Arkadag. There he got acquainted with modern electric transport, which will be used in the settlement, as reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
Berdimuhamedov paid the visit at the request of the head of the city administration. The chairman of the highest representative body of the people’s power first got acquainted with the projects of vehicles, their routes and schedule, sketches of the parking lot, signs with street names and house numbers.
The official visited the bus stop on Akhan Avenue. He offered to decorate it with images of horses. Then an electric bus pulled up to the stop. Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the technical characteristics of the transport, and also talked with the driver. The doors of the bus have devices showing information about passengers. The head of the Halk Maslakhaty also tested an electric taxi on Akhan Avenue. The door of the car has a QR code which contains information about the driver, technical characteristics and location of the vehicle.
The official instructed civil servants to determine the practicality, environmental friendliness and convenience of electric transport which will be used in Arkadag.
