The Government put forward the proposal for review of President of the Republic Shavkat Mirziyev to develop the school and preschool education systems in Uzbekistan. One of the key aspects is the introduction of teacher certification and internships, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
It is proposed that every teacher get a one-year internship and receive a certificate, which helps evaluate their knowledge and teaching skills. After they get a certificate, highly qualified teachers will receive a 70% pay increase.
Updated primary school curricula will be brought in line with the best international teaching practices and introduced. It is planned to reduce the number of subjects from 16 to 11 in the senior classes, and start teaching computer science from the 1st grade. It is planned to increase the share of practical training and project activities.
