Russia-Kazakhstan campus of chemical industry opens Almaty

On May 21, the grand opening ceremony of the CIS’s first-ever educational network campus of D. I. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and Kh. Dulaty Taraz Regional University took place in Almaty. This international educational project is aimed at training qualified specialists for chemical enterprises in Kazakhstan, the press office of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation reported to CentralAsia.news.

An industrial partner of the educational network campus is Kazphosphate LLP — the largest producer of high-phosphorus goods in Kazakhstan and a key customer of specialists in chemical technology.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky noted that Russia and Kazakhstan build up ties in education and science in the framework of the Concept of the Humanitarian Policy Abroad of the Russian Federation.

In 2023, the first Inorganic Chemical Technology double degree training programme will start at the network campus. It will admit students for the first-, second- and third-year courses. It offers 175 places for the first-year course, and 150 places for the second- and third-year courses each.
